Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: Entering Hour 11- Book 3 done!

This day is awesome!

After finishing Anne Frank, I decided that I needed to get out of the apartment, so I went out to get a 90 minute reflexology session. It maybe a reader’s dream because it’s a lovely, quiet room filled with the most comfortable of big chairs, a blanket laid over you while you recline and let the masseuse work out every possible knot you may have had in your feet while reading your kindle! Yes- you can read while someone massages you feet. Magic.

While I was there I started and finished The Grown Up by Gillian Flynn. I think every Readathon reader should add it to their list. It was a slim 66 pages that packed a punch. What a great way to get a boost in your numbers with a legitimately fun novella. I would certainly recommend it for anyone who likes thrillers, someone who likes something a bit eerie, or someone without a lot of time to waste on a story that takes a while to set up.

Since I was already on my Kindle, I decided to pick one that has been in my library for a very long time- Simon vs. The Homo Sapien Agenda by Becky Albertalli. This is a super fun YA book that is longer than I really want for a Readathon challenge, but the writing is so good that I am flying through it. I just finished my wonderful massage and am already 38% done!

Now time for a coffee refueling and back to it!
